Recursive Writing Sheet

From writing to reading my favorite strategies are annotating and making a bulleted list of all my ideas to then make an outline of my paper. When I annotate I look for connections I can make to  myself personally or to other essays that we’ve read. It also allows me to understand what the author is trying to say and what his argument is. When it comes to writing my paper it is helpful to already have things underline and highlight to use for evidence to support my argument. Making a bulleted list helps me get all my thoughts down on paper that I want to include in my essay and connections I can make. After I make my list I than like to make an outline of what I want to put in each paragraph. These strategies really helped me when I was writing my narrative essay because it allowed me to decide what narrative projects I wanted to incorporate that would help strengthen my argument. Outside of English Composition I can see myself using these strategies for more than just writing and reading but if I ever need to do a project that requires research, annotating will help to gather important information and making a bulleted list and outline will help me to decide how I want to final look on my project to be.
