Learning Outcome 2

In my final draft for the significant writing process I used many sources as evidence in my paper. The sources I used were quotes from “Life Stories” by Julie Beck, “I am not a Story” by Galen Strawson, my narrative project and the chosen narrative projects I chose. One example in my paper of uses and source with evidence is – Becks suggests that “in order to have relationships, we’ve all had to tell little pieces of our story”, that role that narratives have in relationships help me to understand why they are so important. This shows how I added a quote from Becks “Life Stories” to support my argument. I enjoyed using quotes in my papers as evidence for my argument, it helped to further and deepen my argument. Another way the class discussed how to integrate sources into papers is my in the introduction give background information on the essay and authors that you will be talking so that when they come up in your paper they won’t be confused. By the 3rd and final paper knowing to add information in the intro about the essay that will be in your paper development as a writer because I knew that all my sources and evidence needed to relate back to my thesis. In my early efforts I was thought that I needed to source all over my paper and I would lose sight of my voice and what my argument was. That is one thing I still will continue to work on but I will always remember to make sure that my sources and evidence relate back argument, also that they integrate into what I am trying in the paragraph.
